I'm ready for my new family!

  Hello there, I'm Marmalade Markle, the bravest, sweetest, friendliest, goofiest, most energetic, and cuddliest cat you'll ever meet. I ended up in this rescue due to a hilarious mix-up. I was chasing a toy mouse and somehow ended up in a delivery truck filled with catnip. I was found in a warehouse, having the time of my life. Let's just say, I know how to make the best of any situation! I love to play with toys and I'm always ready for a cuddle. Just kidding, but now that I have your attention, let me tell you exactly what I happened.  I entered rescue in Spring of 2024, after a sweet citizen in South Mississippi found me with my kittens.  I was a stray teen mom raising kittens.  She was kind enough to take me into her home and let me finish raising my kittens with the rescue sponsoring us.  

When my kids were all old enough, many people came and adopted them very quickly.  Then I thought my luck had changed because a new lady came along and said I was a pretty orange girl, and she'd absolutely love to adopt me.  I was sent to the vet to be spayed so that I would never have to raises kids again and to be able to live a nice long healthy life.  When I was done with surgery and recovered, the lady was contacted that I was ready to go to my new home.  This is where things became very sad and why I am still in rescue.  The lady became very angry that the rescue had spayed me, and she yelled at the humans and told them she didn't want me anymore since I was spayed.  My recue humans determined that she wasn't a good fit for any cats, but I was left in my foster home, and I am still there.  

I love kids!!!  I love to get into bed and snuggle next to anyone, but especially humans that like to read to me while petting me!!  I love to pay with toys and just be a fun-loving cat!!  Please take me home today, so I can show you how sweet I really am!!
