I've found my furever family!

My story begins in Biloxi, Mississippi.  I was a stray running loose near Harrah's Casino.  I would find safety inside MS Power Companies fence every day.  A citizen noticed my pattern and immediately notified the local ACO, which advised her that I was not able to be caught, because I was too smart.  She was determined to get me rescued off the streets, so she called a local dog rescue, who notified MS-CAP, because they were equipped for cases like mine. 

The MS-CAP Rescue team came out and staked me out for a week to learn my habits as well as setting up a feeding station.  After several days they placed a Humane Live Dog Trap by the fence to trick me inside with a big dinner.  They tried for several days with the trap, placing different foods in daily to which I turned my nose up to.  Finally on the last day, they placed rotisserie chicken in with my favorite wet dog food.  I finally went into the trap and was safely caught.  The rescue team immediately took me to see the vet and have a quick check up before going into a foster home.  To their shock, I was heartworm negative!!!! 

In my foster home, I quickly taught everyone how smart I really am.  I know how to use doggie doors, open cabinets and let you know when I want a walk.  I have been learning about dog toys, as I never really had any before this.  I also was given a variety of treats to which I determined I am a sucker for Dog Jerky.
