I'm ready for my new family!

Colby's Rescue story begins in Vancleave, Mississippi.  He was discovered living in the woods behind a medical facility.  The employees alerted one of our board members.  She went out there for several days in a row to feed him and win his trust.  Colby was very shy & scared, but after several days of persistent care and the patience of a board member, she was able to get him into her vehicle without using any traps. 

She and her family became his foster family immediately.  In their home, with a stable schedule, and endless love and patience, he has come out of his shell and become a good boy.   He has since been fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and wormed.  He has shown his foster family his sweet and loving personality.    

Colby is a brave, dignified, young male dog with a gentle and fun-loving nature. He is athletic, strong, and healthy. He has a playful side but can also be calm and reserved at times.

He is very affectionate and loves to be petted and receive belly rubs. He is protective of his loved ones and very loyal. He is very smart and is a quick learner.

While he is still a young dog, he already has a very developed personality. He likes things his way and likes to be independent, but still listens well and is very well behaved both inside and outside of the house. He loves people and is very friendly towards them. He is a funny, charming, and lovable dog and the perfect companion.
