We are a non-profit rescue and adoption group based in South Mississippi. We do not have a shelter or building to house animals. All of our animals are located in foster homes. The dogs and cats we have for adoption have all been rescued from various unacceptable living conditions, whether they came from animal control facilities, or were abandoned by their owners and dumped off on streets, by the river, bridges, or gravel pits.
Mississippi Coalition for Animal Protection (MS-CAP) was created to Rescue, Rehabilitate and Rehome animals in crisis (including housing pets experiencing domestic violence), ensure healthy pets through education, advocacy and affordable services (including TNR), inspire the community where the animal-human bond is celebrated and nurtured, maximizing live outcomes for animals, while balancing animal comfort and public safety by supporting local law enforcement & animal control officers in South Mississippi as well as assisting Emergency Operations Centers & the American Red Cross during natural disasters.
We rescue these unfortunate dogs and cats and provide them with housing, food, medical care, rehabilitation opportunities, and love and attention, while we work to find a loving, permanent home for them.
Mississippi Coalition for Animal Protection (MS-CAP) is currently run by a small team of volunteers. We are all dedicated to rescuing animals in need, providing a safe environment for these animals, and matching the rescue animals to good families who will provide a lifetime of loving care for them.
